@Keepitsimple My ex-FIL, to the third power. I do not miss him a bit.

Yeah those types of people are hard to be around for any length of period and can poison your mind, no doubt!@Byron8by7

@Byron8by7 The thing with narcissistic people that they never acknowledge their mistakes! It makes me so angry. I dealt with people like this in past and got hurt like hell.
Byron8by7 · M
@Keepitsimple Especially when you know the real story behind their facade.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
Yes, it makes it hard to be around them and listen to them even more.@Byron8by7

@Disturbed12 Or that their way is the best way, that no one else can possibly be better at something.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
That’s when you don’t include people in what you are doing or you will doubt your own decisions.@Byron8by7

@Keepitsimple I am very mindful about this - thanks for your comment, friend.

@Disturbed12 Indeed.
Narcissists never acknowledge they are or could be wrong or their mistakes. Maybe unless it is false humility to be in control.

@Magenta It's totally toxic and unhealthy when being in a friendship or relationship with a narcissist. They blame you for their own actions and problems. At first they don't seem so bad, they act friendly and cool, but when you get close enough, they start to show their true self.

@Magenta @Keepitsimple @Disturbed12

They are manipulative and opportunistic, and are "in it" totally for their own gain. Any altruism they exhibit is false, and serves only to further themselves.
Disturbed12 · 26-30, M
@Byron8by7 So true.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
You aren’t kidding! I just ended a friendship because of these things. He lives in a mad world here and the real life. I feel those people have some extreme mental torment going on.@Byron8by7
Byron8by7 · M
@Keepitsimple There is some sort and/or degree of pathology within them.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
There really is. It’s just their mental wiring and they make it seem like we are wrong for picking up on it and confronting them about it. Its just better to cut yourself off and be around nicer people and enjoy healthy relationships or friendships.@Byron8by7
Byron8by7 · M
@Keepitsimple I have as little to do with him as possible. He lives with my ex and my children, so I see him occasionally when I pick up my kids.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
At least it’s minimal now, lol. Better for the blood pressure! 🤣@Byron8by7
