In Argentina people get 20% peryear interest just on Savings account.

As of a couple of weeks ago, inflation was running at about 35% annual rate. If you have your money at a 20% interest rate, the value of your deposit will diminish by 15% by the end of the year, but it will likely to be more, because the inflation rate is continuing to rise.

@Pianist1234 Inflation, in Argentina's case, is not the same as in the US. It's more of a measure of confidence in the currency's value. When the currency goes South, inflation goes up. Simplification, but this is all the time I have now.
