@nonsensiclesnail
Well, it would still hold with just the two! Thanks for your answer.
Best of wishes

@nonsensiclesnail Gawd damn that took forever to copy.
AllAboutTheFacts · 31-35, M
@Rokasu Well, it would have taken a while to translate it yourself, rofl.

Best of wishes

@AllAboutTheFacts True. That’s why I’ll just build a simple c++ char shift “and” function instead 😃

@Rokasu
Well, I prefer phyton! Just not something I use this computer for! But for now, I am happy with the translator I can get from online lol

@AllAboutTheFacts I’m not sure if python would let you do shift operations... you could also do just a plain and instead but that seems like more upfront work 😅
AllAboutTheFacts · 31-35, M
@Rokasu
Pretty sure it would, not tried it though. But it does embedded computing fairly well. Probably worth testing!

@AllAboutTheFacts Not sure Ive heard of embedded computing. Either way lots of developers are moving to more simplistic languages for practically anything. C++ just seemed like an easy way to overcome the problem.
AllAboutTheFacts · 31-35, M
@Rokasu
Well, I am not sure either. Mostly use Python for simulations, but I just know Python became pretty popular with coding! I am no expert that is for sure lol. But the rest is just a newly found hobby of mine! Since stargazing sort of depends on the water!

@AllAboutTheFacts Python simplicity has won it a lot of domain. And because it’s so simple and popular people standardize and maintain it very well. It’s arguable the best all around language on the market right now. Only niche it can’t fill are your dedicated standalone apps, like video games or thick clients.

But who knows. It’s so deeply rooted in major operating systems it could grow even more.
AllAboutTheFacts · 31-35, M
@Rokasu
Indeed, the runtime can be really slow compared to C/C++ . However, since it is mostly just for Black Holes and neutron stars the simulation is for then phyton does the job alright!
Regarding the standalone apps, is the reason I have another computer for phyton, lol.

@AllAboutTheFacts Oh boy you’re doing simulations in that scale? Hopefully it ties into a going somehow
AllAboutTheFacts · 31-35, M
@Rokasu
Well, they are often fairly simple, and not very visuel. Unless you know what you look at. Mostly like energy flux, and density, lol. Just something for my study.

@AllAboutTheFacts Errr sorry I meant ties into the gpu. Though you probably don’t need it for what you’re doing.

@Rokasu
Ah, my bad for not understanding it. Reading it again it makes sense lol. Well no they are not that heavy regarding the SU. My laptop can run them fine as well, and it is not a "Killer" machine in any way lol.
