The less I know the better

There isn't anything I was better off not knowing. Even the worst things, I was best off just as things happened, rather than being left naive.

After my next older sister was born, one of my Dad's sisters told my parents that they shouldn't have any more kids, that it was time for them to stop.

Interestingly, that aunt of mine has always been nice to me. She has never given me reason to believe that she wishes I had never been born.

So, was I better off knowing about that? Who knows.
