When I go into another room and forgot why I went in there. It's not until I return to my original spot that I remember why I got up in the first place.

@DreamyCrush That happens a lot actually. It’s the doorway effect. Our brains are used to immediately analyzing our surroundings to give us clues on what to do and how to behave. Whenever you enter a new room or a new area, this process starts over again. It’s why you can’t remember what happened in the last room.

It’s only when you go back that your memory makes the connections it needs to to remember what you needed in the first place
