I loved the fun drugs, the love, sense of community, sharing, The Haight, sit ins and love ins. But never liked The Dead's music. I loved Zeppelin, Jimmy, Janis and The Doors. I'd be the one going to Berkeley and a pseudo hippy on the weekends.

@dragonfly46 Yeah, I love the music too, but have never been a Dead fan. I did see one of their last shows though (in Oregon).

@SW-User I loved The Deads story and loved that they gave out tabs at their concerts. They once played on a Laguna beach and had tabs thrown at spectators from a helicopter. Found out that little tidbit from a town biographer while attending our yearly vacation in Laguna. Crazy.

@SW-User I guess they loved hanging out there, so one drunken night they decided to stage an impromptu gathering the next night. They only told the locals. It was an epic experience, I was told. He had pictures and had attended. I have tried to find out more info about it, but it isn't listed anywhere. There are still quite a few locals who remember it.
