Is it still okay to pursue a passion and hopefully make a career out of it at 34?

I just went back to school and I'm 1.5 times that LOL

@TexChik I worked in AR and PR for a talent representation company. I've also done work in research and development for a number of corporations too.

I've had a couple things going but I've been semi retired for the past year and a half.

I finally decided I want to be a psychiatrist when I grow up LOL

@LucyFuhr off to medical school with you then ! 😁

I made a slight shift around 37.

Six figure salary with mid four figure bonuses. I was tired of what I was doing and I was tired of the industry. My wife was fine with a switch.

I dropped about 20k in salary and gave up bonuses.

The work was challenging and very interesting.

I am finally financially where I was at 37 but the ride was worth it.

@TessDun as long as you’re prepared (and able) to ride the change out for a few years.... you’ll be fine.

@SW-User Also it is understandable that it would take time right? and constant little actions to it ..Yes I hope I could do it also 🙏🙂🙂

Why not? That would be awesome.
Absolutely ! People have done it even later than that.

The only obstacle is that matters is you ! If you want it ... go for it !

What is it btw? 😁

@TexChik Graphic design.. I was into freehand drawing and painting when younger but life happened and I needed to pursue something else for practical reasons. But now I really enjoyed watching tutorials of softwares to use..Thanks guys you are very encouraging.,😄😄😄

Sure why not...but it will have it's struggles and test your passion for it sometimes.

Why not? Age shouldn’t stop you

It´s good.
But be careful when doing so.
I succeeded with my own career, no doubt.
But (not for the same reason at all) I lost the love of my life.
It's more than okay. [c=#BF0000]It's fantastic.[/c]
