President Trump needs to learn to 'refrain from commenting' on some things.

I'm listening to the propaganda networks have a field day with the president's comments about the alleged death toll from hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The way the anti Trump power structure works, and the way the propaganda networks operate, leads me to believe he may very well be correct, but there are some things that a 'president' should keep to himself. "Discretion is the better part of valor." The only thing I can imagine, is that perhaps President Trump knows that this is a good time to get the TLBB ( Tender Little Blossom Brigade) worked up into a frenzy so they will say or do something unprecedentedly stupid or deceitful . He' kind of tricky that way.

Mid-terms are approaching.

Does the public feel they have more money in their pocket ?
Are enough people managing to find work ?
Are they paying less in taxes ?
Are their pensions growing ?
Is crime on the reduction ?
Have the baby-boomers encountered any specific problems since their retirement ?
After the attempt to reform Medicair, are things better/worse or about the same ?

My guess the answer to ALL those questions is NOTHING has changed !
So he needs to frequently retreat to base and 'preach to the converted'.
Unfortunately this also puts him in bullshit territory. This is where you get the Puerto Rico type comment; 'my inauguration was bigger than your inauguration'...etc.

If he could just ONCE say that he wasn't making ANYTHING worse, i think that would satisfy enough.
@Picklebobble2 I noticed all the question marks. That would be a solid and resounding "YES" to all those questions. The evidence that things are economically much better under Trump could not be any clearer than the evidence you can plainly see as an American as you drive through your town or city, or talk to the people who suffered under Obama's reign of mediocrity and stagnation. (not to mention danger.)

@puck61 Well that's almost reassuring, unfortunately much of that 'growth' is on borrowed money !
There's also the question of the banks.
Are they sticking to proper lending procedures and not trying to 'stimulate' the housing market artificially as they did in '08 causing the whole mess in the first place ?

Like i say, nothing much has changed. It's just whether these 'jobs' are sustainable once the first run on stock market hyped numbers happens.
@Picklebobble2 The oafish and arrogant Trump has done astronomically better in two years than the eloquent and lovable Obama did in eight years. That's all I'm trying to say.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@puck61 But he hasn't ! That's my point. You may feel happier, but there's no economic evidence that what he's done is either sustainable or not without a huge pitfall somewhere UNLESS balance of trade exports increases significantly; more folk SPEND what they're currently saving; more employers hire at higher wages than they currently do.
@Picklebobble2 So unemployment, the GNP, energy production, and consumer confidence is all just a big magic trick done with smoke and mirrors! Oh! Okay. I guess I'll put on my black pajama's and face scarf and go beat up some trash cans, cause I am, by nature, an 'activist', and I certainly don't like the idea of being fooled to such a great degree by what seems to be reality!

@puck61 Think of it this way. If ALL those who have gained employment since Trump borrowed all that money and added to the national debt, went out and got mortgages for homes to start families. And then the stock market collapses because some speculative investor is doubtful the whole thing is sustainable enough for him to be able to get his investment BACK, we're right back to '08 again.
Only worse this time because that will mean more out of work. More defaulting on their mortgages and so made homeless.
It will be very difficult to recover from if it happens again.
Economically for who ? More middle income and working poor people are working a full time and a part time job than at any other time in the history of the country, ever. That raises your income as well as the number of hours worked to receive it.@puck61
@Picklebobble2 It's smart when Obama borrows 20 dollars and dumb when Trump borrows 10! Okay! Got it!
Nope. Everything is quite the opposite of the doom and gloom forecast you have just posited. Even with the temporary damage being done by his,'going nose to nose' for a chance at being treated fairly by unscrupulous traders and ending theft.
@softspokenman Obama had "the working poor" having to work extra jobs because of his attempted power grab that ended up being called, "Obamacare". I mean, we can always blame corporate greed on that, but then we would have to call all the bonuses and higher wages that are being payed now, "corporate altruism"! It comes down to the fact that those who hate Trump are creating their own reality and trying to force it on the general public. They are making some headway because, academia, entertainment, and almost all media is in the tank. Eventually reality will catch up with everyone. I am sure of that.
The stock market has been on an upward trend since 2008. Trump didn't snap his fingers and make it magically happen he just tries to take all the credit for it. How long will it be before it crashes again or will it just keep rising because of Trumps stable genius mind and successful business history. 13 failures, 6 bankruptcy's, and a fraud University. @puck61
@softspokenman A Trump hater's version of reality. One can technically defend what you have said, but it is the usual spin to be expected from those who are indignant because they chose their presidential candidate with all of the forethought and discernment of a bowl of oatmeal!
Source, Amanpour PBS, many interviews and discussions about the economy, is one source. Since you are a supporter you should be able to prove your reality and spin without any indignation at all and not just because he said bc everyone knows he lies. If there is hatred for him it is because he is a proven: liar, racist, misogynist, unethical, immoral, false patriot, egotistical, selfish, hateful, bully, and has been throughout his life. @puck61
@softspokenman Dang! Don't you get dizzy with all that spinning?
@softspokenman You see. The people who like Trump see things differently than the people who dislike Trump! People who don't like Trump are angry. It's normal to be angry when things don't go the way you want them to. What matters is how you deal with that anger! Come sit next to uncle puck, and lets sing a song together! Ah one! Ah two...ah one two three four....and

I don't see you denying anything that I said. What I do see is 'Uncle Puck Head' in denial of the truth and trying to use childish behavior to justify it just like his beloved leader does. @puck61
