A farmer was walking his land when he discovered a tiny wren lying on its back on a farm lane, feet stuck straight up in the air. Thinking it was sick or dead, he knelt beside it and asked, "Are you okay?"
The bird replied, "I'm fine. Chicken Little says the sky is falling and I'm holding it up."
The farmer said, "Silly little thing! Do you really think a tiny creature like you can hold up the whole great wide sky?"
The wren answered, "One does what one can."

@Mamapolo2016 that's a nice little excerpt.

@Plumouter And true. And caring and reaching out to another should not be confused with responsibility. One does what one can. If one took on all the burden of just this tiny corner of the universe, one would be crushed under its weight. Sometimes people just need to feel heard. And seen.
