Begining

So in our exploration of space we find a planet much the same as our own with an orbiting sun. We pick six virile men and six virile women ....give them enough food / water / shelter say for ten tears....and leave them there ! ....Surely this is how we all started off ....isnt it ???

Trouble is humans are complex creatures.
Wouldn't be enough to just drop them off.
Humans are a danger to themselves let alone each other !
Everything from breaking a nail to breaking a leg would be difficult to manage so far from home.

@Wilcrooks Well, prevailing theory is we emerged from the ooze and evolved over time.
We've come so far but if we can't even maintain supersonic flight for large numbers of folk, we're stil a long way from a 'Space 1999' kinda deal.
