SweetMae the thing that really irks me about all this environmentalist/go green/hippie crap, etc. is that just 25-30 years ago, we were drinking real water, drinking milk/soda, etc. from glass bottles, buying products in paper/cardboard containers (glass and paper of course being environmentally friendly). And honestly, I preferred milk/drinks in glass bottles.
Then suddenly everyone starts talking about plastic, how it's the great new thing that will make like easier, so the entire industry shifts to plastic.
But when it becomes a problem, suddenly it's
our responsibility to clean up after
them, even when we're given no alternative (let alone a cheaper, more practical one like we had before).
In other words, I don't drink bottled water (I prefer natural, healthy spring water), I'd rather have milk/drinks in a glass bottle, products wrapped in paper instead of plastic; but the industry/government/society that pushed plastics into my daily life is going to lecture me about pollution/littering/recycling?
Hypocrisy and double standards...
