Why can't I feel anything?

Last week a neighbour died of old age. He has been a family friend for almost 25 years (so pretty much my whole life) but I feel nothing. It was the same when my grandparents died and is always the same when people tell me they or loved ones suffer from cancer. Same with people telling me they recently lost someone dear. It's not that I don't care. I do in fact care a lot but I just don't feel anything. No sadness, no grief, nothing...馃槥

Numbness can come with depression, physical illnesses like diabetes or thyroid..

Psychopaths cannot experience guilt (not all feelings). Your lack of sadness makes you uncomfortable, a psychopath wouldn't feel this way. They may only be uncomfortable because they needed to imitate the feeling for a goal and they failed at that. You display and displayed guilt before.

@Miram I'm physically healthy. You could be right about depression though my grandparents died long before I started suffering from it.
But I don't seem to be a psychopath and that's good to know.
