@Spartan1 But to be fair the Jedi could be seen as an armed militia that went to try and control trade talks between sovereign nation and are a self appointed security force, also they are often arrogant and derogatory about other races and species, TBF Palpatine was democratically elected as Chancellor of the Senate.
