@Serenitree Seriously can't talk to minors? That is weird. I always was able to before. But they haven't been on for a while so it looks like something new the site is doing
@canusernamebemyusername Some adults don't know how to be respectful of young people, and some young people seem to want access to every adult story or question and they do get pretty raunchy at times.
@canusernamebemyusername No. not poor. That baby has love and is alive. She was born so tiny, others might have just let her die. This family chose to bet on her will to live. And they're winning.
@canusernamebemyusername Plenty of people. I have a cat with a heart murmur. He needs medication, but otherwise he's healthy. I mentioned it to a PSW and she said let him die. Why spend money to keep him alive? I told her I'd sooner let her die when she gets some health problem. Imagine. She is a caregiver for people with serious health problems. I wouldn't trust her around my loved ones.
@canusernamebemyusername Yes. And that's as it should be. When I was a child, we lived in Montreal, where winters were really cold. There were pigeons perched on the telephone wires, and I guess they were freezing to death. One year, when I was about 6, one of them fell at our feet as we passed under the wire. It was still moving, so my mom picked it up, and put it inside her coat next to her skin to warm it up. She brought it home to our place, and started feeding it. I really can't remember what all she fed it, but they are pretty omnivorous. So I'm sure she found food handy around our kitchen. Then she began taking it outside and setting it down on the back porch. It just walked back into the house. She kept that bird and fed it until spring, when it finally decided that the weather was good enough to go outside again. One day, when she took it outside, it simply flew away. If we can save a life, does it matter if nobody else values that life?
