How do I cope with it?? DX

6 people in a van driving at 70 mph and a fox sprints across the road a few hundred meters down. I hit the brakes and decelerate and this fox STAYS there! I am flying at 55-60 and this fox does NOT move, so I try to dodge it and SWERVE dramatically to the right and then it RUNS that way LAST SECOND and I thought it couldn't do so, but it LEAPED and I hit it and I almost killed us trying to avoid it ×_×
My GOODNESS, I felt a jolt and knew it hit the false canards on the Sienna model 2012 we were using and I saw we either knocked it out or SERIOUSLY swept it off its feet because it was ROLLING at 40 mph or so in the mirror. Hopefully, it survived and wakes up later. Opens my eyes to driving at night ._.

And how sometimes, you meet your fate on the path you take to avoid it

never swerve to avoid an animal

@Jackaloftheazuresand I have in the past and it saved me from crashing into a deer :/

It is something I naturally do

@SW-User a deer can kill you but so can running off the road and your car is weaker to trees than animals

@Jackaloftheazuresand This... You can swerve to save an animal then end up hitting a car and killing kids or their parents instead.. Risk is too high with swerving..
