Everyone’s Spiritual Path is Perfect

Namaste.

“A thought is a Cosmic Order waiting to happen.” ― Stephen Richards

Gum Namah

This mantra removes obstacles by creating a larger wholeness that includes everyone. The seed mantra Gum is the energetic force of Nature that overcomes difficulties and hindrances – not through opposition, but by expanding one’s consciousness large enough that it can include the obstacle.

If that were true then every religious path would be true, and that’s just not so. Religion is man-made philosophy, and fails us every time. Religion didn’t die on the cross to save us from our sins. Jesus did.

Be conscientious and careful about making spiritual paths and religious paths interchangeable or the same.

Religion and spirituality are not necessarily the same thing.

Spirituality is not participation in a communal practice and interpretation of divine belief and worship (i.e. in Jesus); that is religion.

Make sense?
@bonviveur They are very much connected. You said everyone’s spiritual path is perfect. Jesus said, “Lean not to thine own understanding. There is a path that seems right to man, but the end thereof, is spiritual death.” Proverbs 14:12

What religion and spirituality have in common is that they both can be false methods of having a relationship with God. Religion tends to substitute the observance of rituals for a genuine relationship with God. Spirituality tends to substitute connection with the spirit world for a genuine relationship with God. Both can be, and often are, false paths to God.

@LadyGrace Your first inference, "If that were true then every religious path would be true" makes spirituality and religion interchangeable, which is not correct. Then you make they are connected, to which I would agree... but only for some people. For those who are active participants or people who practice a specific religion, this may be the case. However, for those who are not religiously affiliated, inclined, etc, they still can possess deep levels of spirituality. Again, please be conscientious, responsible and respectful of the difference between the two and those who have beliefs and practices that may/may not incorporate both.

Make sense?
@bonviveur I'm always respectful of other's beliefs, thank you. Whatever they wish to believe it's up to them. We'll just have tho agree to disagree.

@LadyGrace I cannot say this is one of those situations to agree to disagree. And here’s why:

Your initial comment that “religion didn’t die on the cross to save us from our sins. Jesus did.” was in response to my post about spirituality.

Also, in your second comment here, you quoted Proverbs, which is an example of Biblical wisdom tradition appearing in the Old Testament; therefore it has nothing to do with Jesus. In fact, the Book of Proverbs isn’t attributed to any particular author.

You do not present as someone who is open and respectful of others beliefs as you offer commentary and points they suit you or specific religions.

My OP (original post) was about spirituality, not religion. You just do not see the difference and only speak within the confines of your religion, which... for you... is not to delineate between religion and spirituality.

And finally, spirituality is not based on a person looking for a relationship with God. It is a path for a person to have a relationship with his or her Higher Power. Think of Buddhism, for example, which is rich in spirituality, but not a religion.

This should make sense. And have a wonderful evening. Namaste. 🙏 ☺️✌️
Whatever you want to believe. @bonviveur

@LadyGrace It’s not what I want to believe. It’s how it is.
Ok. If you say so. Your points are wrong, but whatever. @bonviveur

@LadyGrace Untrue.

I am a Catholic who attended a Jesuit institution and university and studied theology and philosophy.

Please open your mind, spirit and heart and become familiar with all forms of religion and spirituality, not few or just one. You will find yourself amazed and enlightened.
