Why do you want to know?
SW-User

You want to know if we can get it right?
But why do you need to know that?
Why bother?
I'm sure you can think of more interesting questions.

@mathsman Ahem...what exactly are you trying to say here? If you don’t like this post then leave

I love your post.
You know the answer to the question so you want to see if we do too or if we get it wrong as so many people do.
SW-User
@mathsman And you seem to have a problem with that?

@SW-User
Not at all
There are so many questions which need care before answering
And then checking to see if what we think is correct.
A skill young people seem often seem to lack
I'm a maths teacher so I'm specially aware of that, lol.
SW-User
@mathsman Lol You think I didn’t check if the answer 25$ was right?
mathsman · 70-79, M
@SW-User
Nooooo
I'm not thinking of you I'm thinking of those who don't check and think the hat costs $50
SW-User
@mathsman Lol Ohhh....Right. Well most people who got this question wrong aren’t young anymore 😆

@SW-User
😀
And maybe not many are buying a hat and a coat such as those, lol
The problem with this question is mostly that people don't anticipate being told that one costs a certain amount more than the other.
The question writer has to know the answer in order to create the question.
It's all a case of being given a specific set of information which wouldn't happen normally.
SW-User
@mathsman They just need to read the question carefully lol

@SW-User
Another common failing, lol
