@SW-User alright. X=hat's cost y=coat's cost. X+y=150 and y=x+100. Substitute, x+x+100=150. Add like terms and start getting that term alone, 2x=50. Fully get term alone, x=25. Substitute into second equation (y=x+100), y=125. Check answer by substitutin into equation one, 125+25=150. See if checks, 150=150 (it does).
