Do you listen only for your turn to talk or do you listen to understand the person across from you?

I really try to understand the person. I admit, it isn't always easy and if I'm feeling attacked it becomes much harder to do. That's what's great about here. You can really sit with your thoughts and theirs and hopefully respond in a more meaningful way.
