Daily, if possible. Videochat when you can, send them sweet messages, just because. Shower them with affection, and appreciation. It's like being in a relationship in real life, except for the physical.
Don't flirt with anyone else, and be honest, and genuine. It takes a lot of work.

Telepathy

Depends on the people. Texting throughout the day in a neverending convo works best for me and my communication style and introversion tendencies. I kinda hate the phone and video chatting.
