I do see your point and no,it wouldn't bother me if a soul never spoke to me which is why i love living alone and when i have to make a human encounter i'm always polite and courteous but keep it as brief as possible.I'm sorry my wife and all our rescue dogs have passed on but now i remain alone by choice.All my best to you!

@luv2fly352 similar here. Will be polite but anything longer than 30 seconds and I want to scream. It’s as though there is nothing that anyone could possibly talk about which would have a semblance of interest, and it’s either them or me who is the ghost

Yeah, but more like I wish not to have deep connections or social obligations. Fleeting talk is fine, as long as I can easily escape, guilt-free.
