What’s the best “less is more” example you can come up with?

Oddly enough it's the example I have most heard it associated with and the very first example where it was introduced to me. Makeup, I really dislike makeup in general. But I also think that most people don't know how to use it for their particular features. They also don't seem to know when to to throw old product away either.
