@Usernumber1 Well as you'll discover when you reach adulthood, what goes for you doesn't necessarily go for other people. And telling a complete stranger you're having a period is maybe (I'm guessing here) one of those things you keep to yourself until such time your SO can go get you a box of tampons..

@HerKing he's not a complete stranger. We met in person before and we've been chatting for about a month now and planned to go on a date.

@Usernumber1 You obviously miss the points being made so I can only suggest you get a grown up to explain to you that not everything has to be shared about your personal life.
