To my thinking that's not why promiscuity is not a good behavior.
Promiscuity is always disorganized random and unpredictable in how it refines the intellect, if at all.
Chaste behavior is methodical. It requires self determination and "wires" the brain for better augmentation of selectivity in many areas of daily life.
The soulful aspect is just a secondary affectation but promiscuous people aren't usually very profoundly unique. Lol
