When I was 5 we lived in NY. We came home to Ireland in September to visit my dad's mother grandmother in Belfast. She ran a pub. My brothers and I were sitting at the bar watching TV and we witnessed two IRA men come in and shoot two men dead. It happened so fast. My momma claimed it was a game and swiped the 3 of us upstairs. We understood it was a game until we were old enough to know what really happened.

@SW-User she saved our mental health. Brilliant woman.
Our minds were never bruised from it. As we thought it was a game a silly game. She brought us to the movies while the British army were all over the pub. Accompanied by a British policeman. All handled well.
