Don't you think it's kinda unfair that some extremely famous museums earn off of stolen artworks from another countries?

Most art pieces from other countries are actually on loan, so there is permission for it to be there.

But for the stuff that was brought back from other nations by archaeologists before ethics were a thing... it's hard to say. Yes, in principle, ancient artifacts probably should have stayed with their people. On the other hand, most people can't afford to travel to other nations and experience it first hand, so museums are the only way they'll get to see those artifacts and experience that culture. Museums were also better equipped to preserve and learn from them. Also, many of those nations were compliant in letting the archaeologists take the stuff to begin with.

So... it really doesn't bother me actually. I think we're better off as a human society by having learned about each other's cultures; I just wish we had better methods way back then.
