@Stereoguy yeah I discovered that when my wife died, all our couple friends were no longer interested. I mean they were polite and all but no more meeting up like before.

@Stereoguy that doesn’t surprise me, we couldn’t either although nobody said that. I think some avoided us because of no kids, but it’s been really noticeable being a single male again at my age. It’s like people avoid you because there must be something wrong with you or even unsafe because you have no partner or kids. I take my niece out sometimes to the mall and I’m treated so differently.
