Anyone know an ADULT with ADHD?

What are they like? It’s a little different than kids cause adults don’t go to school anymore.

If you don’t know anyone with it, no need to tell me so.

A good friend of mine - in some ways it’s worse than a youngster. He calls on the phone...and a dozen times says hold on while he makes coffee or combs his hair or...whatever.

my brother does this. it’s r you get done explaining something on the phone and he’s like “what?” @Mamapolo2016
@NiftyWhite Exactly. You have a conversation about something and he acts like he’s got it. He doesn't. He doesn’t tell you things he thought he did and he tells you the same thing over and over. He might not call for a month but when he does, if you donNt return his call in half an hour he’s blowing up your phone with texts.

what about memory problems? my partner tells me the same things over and over through time but not in the same sitting @Mamapolo2016 . For example he will tell the same personal stories even though i’ve heard them 3x before - he will still start it with “well one time I....” as if it’s a brand new thing, rather than saying “remember how i told you about...”

one time he told me all about a waterfront he loved and i listened to him go on and on. Didn’t even remember we had already been there together - i know alllllllll about it.
@NiftyWhite Yes. Let me put it this way. My birthday and his ex-wife’s are the same date. We have discussed that a dozen times. He will call and say, I sent Dot a card, her birthday is Thursday. When's yours? I can’t remember.

I think of it like his brain is a trampoline and stuff bounces off of it. He’s just not in ‘absorb information’ mode.

but the funny thing is my partner will absorb info on other topics he enjoys, like a thristy sponge.
@NiftyWhite Sometimes people just repeat favorite stories because THEY like the story and want to hear it again.
