moral question

say there is someone who goes out of his way to help many people. is he a good person if the reasons he does so are selfish?

I appreciate that they are picking up the slack, and doing something that needs to be done. For me, the drawback is that they are doing this, not because it needs to be done, but because if they do, then they get something for doing it.

Hard to claim altruism, when one is being compensated.

@NeloAngelo BINGO. It is great that they are filling the void, but if a better opportunity comes along, they will drop it without a second thought.
