moral question

say there is someone who goes out of his way to help many people. is he a good person if the reasons he does so are selfish?

I help a lot of people but a lot can't understand why I help them because I don't want nothing in return.

@coary987 say a politician helps many homeless people for publicity. yes people are helped and thats good but its only to further his campaign so selfish.
