Do you think parents who bring their noisy kids in the cinema are selfish?

Depends on the movie.

Honestly I don’t mind crazy crying children as much as teenagers.

@User41 You're pretty easy going, aren't you?

Super easy going.

I’ll get upset when I need to. The rest of the time it’s better to chill out.

@User41 I wish I could be like you lol

@SW-User Well, its true that parents should know that the children are capable of behaving before taking them to movies, but, I understand the point about the teenagers.

Many, not all, not even most, but quite a lot of teenagers, think making life difficult for others is a rite of passage. Try asking them to pipe down and they just get rowdier.

I have taken mine out (and demanded, and got, my money back) because people who are old enough to have been taught better, go to a children's movie and disrupt the whole thing for everyone. They get away with it too, because, telling eight or twenty teens, high on something, to leave a place where they've paid admission, would be inviting trouble, big trouble.
SW-User
@Serenitree Yikes! I've never been in the theater with bratty teenagers, but that sounds awful
User41 · 36-40, M
@SW-User there’s usefulness to being uptight too. You just need to know where to apply it an where not to.
SW-User
@User41 Of course 😊

@SW-User There really aren't that many, but when a bunch decide to party, they tend to lose all civility, and don't anyone dare try to tell them they are wrong for disrupting business or pleasure.
SW-User
@Serenitree Let them have fun and when they get older, they'll look back and laugh at themselves for being so young and dumb lol
Serenitree · F
@SW-User Agreed. Let them have fun, but I still got my money back, because my kids were under ten, and sitting quietly, except for their complaints about not being able to see the screen or hear the movie because the big kids were sitting up on the seat backs , and making noise, swearing, lighting lighters, smoking, using their cell phones.

They can have fun, but I'm not paying for it.

But..while saying let the teens have fun ...you say the small kids shouldn't be allowed to have fun being small kids, and criticize the parents for not controlling their children.

Am I missing something, here?
SW-User
@Serenitree Oh no...I don't care about the teens if they're having their own parties. In the cinema, anyone who's annoying should not be allowed to continue enjoying the movie with the rest of the audience
Serenitree · F
@SW-User Oh, thank you. I figured I was misunderstanding.
