Though I loathe getting involved in polictics, the children separation thing needs to be sorted. Republicans are claiming that democrats made the law.

Except there is no law as such. Just to be clear this is under Trump administration and should be held accordingly. I’m not taking sides but I do despise fake news.

Understood. Trump is a lying piece of crap and has been since Day 1, but this has to be among his most disingenuous lies. His entire raison d’etre has been “fighting illegal immigrants”. It arguably helped him get into office. And the “zero tolerance” policy was his and Jeff Sessions’ brainchild. So for him to bail out and try to pass the buck when it’s working the way they planned (as a threat to people who’d cross the border) is pretty damned cowardly.

As another poster pointed out, the previous president did follow immigration law, although oddly enough conservatives never give him credit for it, and people were deported, per existing laws. But no one’s children were taken away, although some opted to leave children born here with family.
