You know the saying "you're caught between a rock and a hard place"?

Is the rock not hard?

No...the rock is also hard. That's the point of the phrase....both of your options are hard. Whatever you choose, it's tough.

@ImpeccablyImperfect Well, it was a legit question. I didn't understand lol. Another one is "You can't have your cake and eat it too". The sole purpose of cake existing is to eat it.

English is my first language.. but these sayings man... lol

@Skyline470 haha the cake one just means you can't expect to have everything
Of course, cake is meant to be eaten, but that's a figurative cake. Not literal. Haha👍

Yeah the cake one was teicky for mw too at first but its exactly what @strongernow if you eat the cake its gone. You can't it back. So its like you cant have everything. You can't have it both ways.
