Which is best, religion or science?

You can only pick one. Choose carefully because your eternal soul could be in jeopardy.

(I think science is the best)
Neither. Religion is man-made philosophy that Jesus warns us about, and not “of” Him, or about his teachings, and science can’t get us to heaven.

Colossians 2:8 - "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Jesus Christ."

One doesn't have to ignore one in favor of the other. Both can go hand in hand.

In a comedic twist, those who preach science over religion often times treat science as their religion. Look at how they treat others. They'll belittle anyone and everyone who doesn't agree with them or believes in a religion. Is that not the very thing they claim to be against. Science is a form of religion for many of these people, just not in the traditional scense.

I go with science. I am happy to live once.
[@whowasthatmaskedman That would be nice if you lived only once, but body and spirit live on in eternity. The word “soul” appears 473 times in the Bible. You receive your soul at the moment of your conception. Later, the body resurrects to unite with the soul, for eternity.

I am genuinely happy that your faith gives you comfort. I am satisfied with my beliefs.@LadyGrace
@whowasthatmaskedman Good enough, then. I understand.

Religion.

Science might save me from death.

But it won't be there for me when I die.
Novaturient81 · 41-45, F
@LadyGrace science ➡Medicine helps. But, yes, we all die eventually.

@Novaturient81 Maybe not everyone
@Novaturient81 Oh sure, I agree.

If I interpret your use of the word 'best' to mean 'accurate' then clearly science, as it is evidence based.
DrBenway · 61-69, M
@fazer1k no I didn't mean 'accurate'. I meant best. Just generally
fazer1k · 56-60, M
@DrBenway I'd still go with science but the term 'best' is a bit vague for comfort because, in such general terms, I don't think religion and science are always comparable.
MasterofNone · 26-30, M
Science is better than religion but it is not the best.
