English is stupid

Part 2
Why do we have silent letters in English? Really... why?
So like knowledge, why does it need a k?

Its like there was a guy called Mr. English, who was a very moody character, and liked how the letter K looked before N in the beginning of a word, but hated the sound of K!
And was like f$%* it, don't pronounce it. Its a rule!

So if K is silent before N at the start of a word, why cant I put a silent K in front of every word starting with the letter N? Its not like it would change anything. Its silent! The word will sound exactly the same!

Knothing about silent letters make sense.

English was derived from several languages including German. It is a difficult language to learn, but it is my native language and I do not appreciate your lame insults.
I just never understood the concept of silent letters in general. If it’s silent, what point is there, in including it in the word at all, right?
