Is being stubborn the same as having too much pride?

This is a cool question.
I know someone who is so stubborn has so much pride they are borderline arrogant.
Actually they are arrogant.

Not necessarily. People can be stubborn for other reasons. It's not necessarily pride.

No it can also come as a result of lack of trust, insecurities, superstitions, fear, etc..
