with the last operation I had
I think I came close
I felt myself falling back
even though I was lying on the bed
dissolving into the hospital bed
and the bed had no substance
cold and hollow silence
everything around me gone
for sure death is a lonely feeling
no pain
and it wasn't dark
light golden yellow surround
but it wasn't warm
and I got pulled back out of it
not by a hand
like I bounced back

If one was conscious enough in their sleep they would find out that we die and come back to life everyday. It is the source of all energy.

@Columbianpoppies Well only one phase of sleep when you go beyond dream. Possibly the Slow Wave Sleep state. But then you have to understand think of a different concept of death. Intellectuals aren't yet sure of the indicators of death but in certain peculiar cases they have understood that when our heart stops beating and we stop breathing is not the perfect indicator of death. Just nearly perfect.
So in order to say that we die when we sleep is to say that you experience the same thing but not consciously but your body keeps breathing and all the functions keep happening controlled by the medulla.
