Afraid to go to sleep...what to do?

Go to sleep anyhow.
you can't avoid it forever. and the longer you go, the more stressed your body will become and the likelihood of the bad dreams coming back is even greater.

@SW-User ....That does sound terrifying though. I've woken up to something similar - forever ago - it was bad enough my mom got rid of the bed that she decided was possessed.
try sleeping somewhere else.

@SW-User well.. that in particular. yes. because it was a waterbed and it was inside the bed poking at me, laughing and....such. anyhow. you don't need to know those details right now.
But the issues continued. In other fun filled ways.

@SW-User I wont. that would be cruel in your state. you need to find a different place to sleep maybe. or somethign that will bring you comfort. not sleeping wont help anything. you need your mind about you and critical thinking is the first thing to go when you deprive yourself of rest.
