Why do I keep seeing questions pertaining to Mother's Day? That was on March 11th.

Mothers day in the UK and Ireland are the same in march. The date varies all around the world!

@FrankietheFly sorry I didn't read the question properly!! It started in the UK and Ireland. Then Anna jarvis from the usa celebrated a memorial day for her mother in 1908. Her mother died on may 9th so she started a mothers memorial day after. Other countries adopted the usa date as they thought it was lovely. So the UK and Ireland remain with their original date that started from the 1600s. A religious sunday event to meet mothers at church in march.

@FrankietheFly she was a social activist. Back then. She had plenty of time and respect for mothers also.

@FrankietheFly because in the usa they might end have known about the UK and irelands religious one. And she felt it would be wonderful to do this other special day to celebrate all mothers in a non religious way. I think. She seemed pretty cool.
