Patriotism will make you spit out sweet fresh water while you're dying of thirst, if it comes from the wrong well.

Lol. Yeah...
@User41 The hearts of rosy cheeked heroes later beat in wide eyed grinning madmen. War is inconvenient.

For who? You?

Where do you think you’re internet comes from? Your goods?

From being nice? Or from political power? An where does political power come from?
@User41 "Inconvenient" was the word I used to describe war. Someone smarter than me once said.

"War is uncomfortable- peace is hell" I don't necessarily agree, but I know 'where the bear shits in the buckwheat.'

We live in interesting times. People are about to pay for 'land mines in football fields', and choking infants. My rant is not anything anyone would want to hear, but it is true. She has seven rays in her crown and she stands on the waters in a city that has made the "kings of the earth drunk with the wrath of her fornication"
There is no doubt in my mind who the "Whore Of Babylon" is, and the movement of the embassy is a big landmark on the road to ruin. God bless America.

"These things must needs be 'come to pass'. but woe be unto them by whom they come to pass."

The evidence is overwhelming. There is no way that some of these ancient prophecies could be any more accurate regarding current events.

This is the scariest one for me,v "When the people say, "Peace and safety!" then cometh sudden destruction!

Stop talking like a character from game of thrones.

It doesn’t make u sound “wise”

If you disagree with this modern concept of power, defeat it.

Can you? Or is the power of countries, borders and patriotism to much?

If so, welcome to the club of defeated people. An defeated ideas. This is the history of man kind.

An it will continue to be. For better or for worse.

Patriotism drives ideas. Even new modern ideas. But for sure, it also encourages blind faith. An I don’t support that.
@User41 It's a bit animated, as is often the case when I'm in my cups. Patriotism for me is simply part of my social conditioning. I am a patriot and I love my country, I'm simply acknowledging that it is a terrible thing, Dominic Behan said it best, We need the inspiration it provides and the bravery it sustains as long as we have countries and borders,

“Countries without borders”
I don’t believe in a utopia. It’s nonsensical.

Social conditioning? We are SOCIAL animals. We were predispositioned to be socially conditioned. It’s not always a bad thing.

“We need the inspiration it provides and the bravery it sustains as long as we have countries and borders”

But, we have countries and borders.
@User41 Yes! I happen to be a nationalist and a patriot.
Can we not acknowledge the dark implications of 'patriotism' while still holding it as a high ideal and a critical part of 'who we are'? When the lion lays down with the lamb, there will be no need for borders or countries. I've spent most of my adult life being "proud of my country" and I can't help the fact that I still am, but the truth is, my country is the "Whore of Babylon" and basically the 'bad influence' of the planet. My wonderful country has been the provider of sustenance, wealth, and vice for the rest of the world for 2 long time, and hell is eager for our inevitable arrival.
