What has been the worst day of your life thus far?

For me, it was 9/11...I was working at our local hospital, everyone was stunned, in terror, and every other emotion you can imagine. Since we are very close to the worlds largest marine base, we are a logical target and didn't know if it was just New York or the entire nation.

We had to go on lockdown, many of the marines were posted at every entry point. Providing patient care was difficult because we had to be calm and not panic the patients. The entire day was a nightmare! and you?

August 1, 2011 when my mom told my siblings and I that dad wouldn't be coming home from the hospital.

@Coyotedave611 Sickle Cell Anemia. He had it since he was a teenager from what I remember being told, but he struggled with it the most his last 10 years.

@SW-User I sincerely believe, if not a "heaven" there is something quite wonderful in the beyond, I think you'll see him again eventually.
