does it really matter to get a university degree?

SW-User
If you want a decent job then yeah

The degree will open doors for you in life, and the experience of learning and thinking at a university level will help you meet all kinds of challenges and grow intellectually.

It does if you're looking for a job .. it doesn't matter if you're just a curious person wanting to know more about something.

@Vineeth2g See I have work and it's okay... I'm fine with my employment, and education is more a passion you should chase to engage yourself with (which makes my observation about the exact opposite - coincidentally I only ever went to school for an art/photography - one doesn't imagine a job from that)

It does if you want to be a nukular physicist. It helps if you are a creative-type. But if it's just a job or a career, who you know is more important than what you know.

In general yes. You are far more likely to earn more if you have a degree. However, there are plenty of people that didn’t and are doing just fine and/or are happy.

Depends on the employment you will be seeking. It may be a requisite to even obtain an interview for the jobs you seek

Depends on the field and how you define matters. But people with a uni degree are generally a bit smarter.
