How many of you cancelled your fb after the big scandal about the information breach

According to testimony today, it really doesn't matter. Even if you've never had a FB account, they are still keeping tabs on you. So is Google and the US government. Snowden warned us all of this year's ago.

I deleted it permanently then created a new one recently with a random name just so I could join important groups there, not adding friends. I had to confirm my identity on Facebook in my previous accounts by uploading my ID card, birth certificate etc. and I think that's kinda too much. Too much of my information is there. It also recognizes people's faces automatically. SCARY.

Deactivated my account five years ago.

I did not. Any data of importance, they already have on me, and google has, and the government. I wasn't as surprised by the Cambridge Analytica issue as a lot of other people were.

I like the platform, and I use it knowing full well what it does.

I left Facebook ages ago but I don't understand why everybody makes a fuss now. If you're on Facebook your data gets sold and used anyway. It's their business model. You have NO privacy there anyway.
