@lovelywarpedlemon I didn't know about Baxter Dury, but I really, really like this. I think I'm going to buy some of his stuff. It reminds me of French stuff like Stereolab. Hmm, thank you! And, oh, we were on our way to Liverpool. We used to go there every year between Christmas and New Year. It was my favourite day of the year!

@lovelywarpedlemon I've got some stuff that nobody at all has ever heard of, not even the person who sang it. :) I like songs where the lyrics mean something rather than just trying to make a rhyme to fit a beat.

I've never seen the video for this until I just looked for it to link. It looks a bit daft to me now, but I've always liked the lyrics.

@GlassDog ahahah I've seen this. I know Morrissey. ♥ The video is cheesy, hehe. I agree with music having a deeper meaning. Poetry, satire, challenging ideals, etc., music is huge for me. Singing would be my first choice, over writing, but I don't expect to be the next Janis Joplin. lol

@lovelywarpedlemon Definitely hope you're not the next Janis Joplin. She was amazing but she died way too young. :/
