So the FBI is now releasing details contained in an unsubstantiated dossier on Dr Martin Luther King. And here everyone has been thinking that the CIA was the rogue federal agency.

@LeopoldBloom Yawn. Yeah sure what ever. You are a maroon. He was in the sheriffs office three days before the mass killing. Why wasn't he arrested then?
@hippyjoe1955 Because the sheriffs didn't work for the feds, dipshit. Different jurisdiction. Maybe it was a sanctuary city and the sheriff thought Koresh was an illegal immigrant.
@patkaren1717 No, it wasn't. It was an attempt to apply the law that didn't go as planned due to Koresh's decision to kill himself and take as many of his followers with him as possible. He could have ended it by just sending everyone out an surrendering, but he wanted his end of time apocalypse, and he got it.
A "political move" would be one calculated to gain favor with the public, like Trump's wall or the China tariffs. Waco was a disaster for the feds. At least they learned from their mistakes; when the criminal Cliven Bundy had the standoff at his ranch, Obama didn't order the agents in; they just waited. Same when his gang took over that building in Oregon; the feds just waited until the boys ran out of beef jerky and Cheetos, and came out on their own.
The "insurgencies" and so-called "resistance" in the US today are composed of people who are too stupid and incompetent to plan anything workable, so the best strategy is to just watch and wait because they'll eventually give up.
@hippyjoe1955 The county sheriffs are a different jurisdiction from the feds, separate command structure, and different laws. If Koresh didn't break any state laws, the sheriff wouldn't have arrested him, and the feds couldn't have ordered him to do so or even to hold Koresh in custody until they arrived. There's still something called due process.
Are you suggesting that we should nationalize all local police forces? That would be the first steps toward a dictatorship, but I guess if Cheeto Jesus is in charge, you'd be just fine with that.
@hippyjoe1955 I don't know, why don't you ask that evil christofascist fuckhead David Koresh? He's the one who's 100% responsible for their deaths, not the law enforcement agents who were trying to save the women and children he was raping as part of his end-times death cult.
@hippyjoe1955 No, he deserved to surrender instead of committing suicide and bringing all of those people along with him. If Koresh had any decency, he would have ordered the other people out of there before he set the fire.
I'm curious, do you have the same concern when the police kill a black suspect without giving them a trial first? Or you're only troubled when the feds accidentally kill a bunch of white Christians?
