are people just becoming overly sensitive and looking for reasons to condemn others?

was reading an article of backlash about steve harvey's wife calling herself retarded and people jumping on her case of using the word. when are people going to stop being hyper sensitive?

one day we'll be able to see into the place words are uttered from

It will only be okay if we know the heart of the person saying it
but we don't
and we are quick to assume they are out to hurt and be condescending

one day
maybe words that make people feel less than human
will totally disappear
