when it becomes disrespectful and toxic to your well being..

When you’re the only one putting in any effort.

When they have isolated me and not included me in the usual nights out that we used to do!

....I don't believe I ever would give up on a friendship.But....a friend of mine has recently given up on ours and there is nothing I can do or say to change their mind.
Im gutted......Sadie couldn't have been left 'open ended'....with hope of picking up down the line.
Its one of the hardest things....knowing you're no longer wanted.

But....I have to give up....because he's made his choice.....and nothing I can do can make it right it seems.

people may think I gave up on them
but in my mind, our freindship is still okay/healthy enough lol
I don't need daily input
seasonal is fine by me
maybe it seems like I do... but I don't care less

When the other party seems disinterested in maintaining the friendship.

I recently did, with a friend of many years, from highschool.
We would always at least wish each other a happy birthday, but this year he did not acknowledge my message, and I haven't received one from him for the last few, so it definitely seems one-sided. Even social outings, he never made the effort, so time to sever, me thinks. Especially when there are people in my life who want and deserve my time.

If they've stolen your money or youve caught them in bed with your significant other I think you're probably getting close to the point where you should call it a day.

When they backstab me, or once I've been ignored a long time (although in the latter case I tend to forgive very easily & resume the friendship, if they make an approach)

When the caring is one sided.

In corporeal life - never.

When they just go away... :'(

When they lose my respect

When all of a sudden I don't hear from them for months for no obvious reason or explanation when I thought we had a close bond. Feeling quite sad about it actually. :-(

This is really a hard thing for me to do. If they steal from me or lie

friendships are not a distinct thing... but I do give up on trusting people when its getting to a point of betrayal...

When they give up coffee...

When it stops becoming a two way thing😊

when they dont treat you right, push away or out doing dumb things and you dont want to associate with them over those things they are doing.

When it's incredibly one-sided and sucking the life out of you...
