If he seemed like a stand-up guy I probably would. Assuming my hypothetical sister was single.

That's a bait mostly, if things don't go well it pretty means you are done. I'd refuse.

I have two, and all my friends close enough to ask know them. One’s married and the other has a boyfriend.
