Climate change denial.

@badapple @puck61 Was kind of hoping it was implied that I meant the portion of climate change directly attributed to human behaviour in the past few hundred years as opposed to the natural climate change that happens over millions of years and is largely negligable compared to a human lifespan (apart from tipping points).
@badapple I've never met a climate change denier. I've met some man made global warming skeptics, and I know for a fact that people have been cooking the books to make "man made global warming" seem like a thing. The establishment has pretty much taken the bait hook line and sinker. "Man made global warming" alarmism is nothing but a new religion and a political means to an end, but there's not much I can do about that, so I just go about my insignificant life.

@puck61 You have to follow the money. What benefit do scientists have from making up stories that industrialisation is bad for the planet? On the other hand, what benefit do industrialists find from continuing to make the maximum short-term profit by taking the minimum long-term care? There's absolutely no reason why someone would make up climate change. Scientists' currency is truth and proof. When found to be "liars" or just wrong their careers would be over and reputation ruined, whereas industrialists rely on producing things cheaply and they know that climate change would put a crimp in that. Equally, government is in a difficult position when it comes down to competitiveness between countries and there's little public support for acting unilaterally and making individual economies weaker.
