Slippers. I never wear socks in the house.
It's minus five here with a heavy frost. Snow forecast for easter

It's still very cold here and hasn't stopped raining for three days. The Easter snow didn't materialise it just rained and rained and rained.

I'd like to says yes but it's been so cold recently, minus 13, that I've worn socks in bed a few times. My other half had a good laugh as she's knows I hate wearing socks
I took them in the early hours when warm enough

We had plimsolls to wear in school. Until comp we weren't allowed to wear outdoor shoes in school. We had to change to plimsolls. We actually called this black plimsolls, slippers and carries them in a "slipper bag" our mums made for us.

Boys did pe in their underpants and girls in their vest and pants until comp. at comp we wore white shorts only. No underpants allowed.

I remember the pe teacher was obsessed about shoes on the gym floor as it had been relaid.
Of course he wore gym shoes. A sign of the times

It never occurred to me. They were the rules.
We did have sadistic teachers who liked to confiscate our shoes and socks when we were naughty. I didn't like that.
